This one is for Charlie: A tribute to Charlie Kirk
You can look at almost any news source and find a lot about the Kirk assassination, but very few are like this one for a couple reasons.
Reason number one: Before September 10, I'd never even heard of Charlie Kirk. My parents were both Charlie Kirk fans, and were only becoming more so. All of my older sibling had heard of him, but my younger sister and I didn't know who he was.
Reason number two: Because I'd never heard of Charlie, I have been watching and listening to everything about him, and have several people's takes and opinions on the assassination.
One thing that I have listened to repeatedly is Tom MacDonald's new song, "CHARLIE". Although the rhyming isn't top notch, there are several good lines in the song. One such line is: "He left behind a wife and a daughter and a son. All he did was try to speak for all of us." That line is so true. That is what Charlie Kirk has done. He has spoken out against the left for all Republicans.
The left has, for years, told people that they want war to end. That they wish that the right would talk things out instead of resorting to fighting. But they just murdered one of our best speakers because they didn't agree with him. This was the first American assassination of someone who wasn't in a political office since Martin Luther King Jr.
Another line in the song is: "This is far more deep than some political parties. And you can't kill freedom so this one is for Charlie." This is true because the left is trying to kill our liberty by killing the people who use it.
I have also started listening to the newest episodes of the Charlie Kirk show. But when I was trying to download the episode in which Glenn Beck remembers Charlie Kirk, I downloaded a version that is different from the one that you can find on Spotify. The first ten minutes or so is full of Charlie Kirks speeches put to music. It was really good, and you should listen to it, so next time you're on YouTube, look up "Glenn Beck commemorates Charlie Kirk". The first result is the one that you should watch.
I have been thinking a lot about the impact that Charlie Kirk made, and something that I've realized is that Donald Trump is the president that God needed in this day. With the amount of people who have been recently registered to vote because of the influence of Charlie Kirk, there is no way that Trump would have one the election without him. And we all no how God saved Trump's life, leaving him with just a large ear piercing. And when Charlie Kirk had finished with that job, God said, "Good job. It's time to come home." And because of that, thousands of people are joining together and going to the church for the first time in years.
I have also been watching Charlie's best debates on YouTube. If you haven't watched those, then stop reading this article, go to YouTube, and watch them. Then open a new tab and finish reading this. Make sure to open a new tab, because that way it counts as two views on the blog.
What I have learned from these videos is that Charlie Kirk was a great speaker, and that his death is a loss for the world. But I have also learned that he had no extraordinary ability that allowed him to do what he did. What truly allowed Charlie Kirk to do what he did was his faith, his determination, his confidence, and especially his self education. He was so well read and could even quote the Constitution and the Federalist Papers. All I can quote is Michael Knowle's Reasons to vote for Democrats.
Those standards imply that anyone with faith, determination, confidence, and the right self education, can be like Charlie Kirk. I'm not saying that anyone can replace Charlie, because they can't. But America needs more people who will stand up for what's right. People who are willing to die for what they believe in. But they can't kill freedom, so this one is for Charlie.
Well said, Watson. I duplicated my tab so that it would count as two views, because this is 2 thumbs up! I, too, have Michael Knowles' book memorized by heart.
